The rest of the Premier League teams return after the winter break. Unfortunately, we got 1 out of 2 last week as the Manchester City game was called off. Nonetheless, check out our previous Premier League Betting Preview here. We have an action-packed weekend of soccer ahead with exciting clashes between Wolves and Leicester.
Wolves vs Leicester City
When: Friday 14th February, 3 p.m.
Where: Molineux Stadium
Our Pick: Leicester City (+190)
Both these teams deserve commendation for how well they have been performing this season. They are up there competing with the big boys that seem to be huge franchises that have unlimited funds. Of course, Wolves and Leicester are not shy of money themselves spending over $200 million between them. Leicester has fallen off a bit winning just 2 out of their last 5 but is expected to come firing after the break.
Wolves have just 1 win in their last 5 but have the potential to beat any team on their day. Wolves only suffered 3 defeats at home all season but have nearly conceded as much as they have scored. Traore is expecting a return for Wolves as well as Ndidi for Leicester. Both will make a positive difference to their respective sides. Leicester will cause Wolves to lose their 4th home game. Aston Villa vs Tottenham Hotspurs
When: Sunday 16th February, 9 a.m.
Where: Villa Park
Our Pick: Tottenham Hotspurs (-110)
Villa is battling dangerously with relegation. They are 1 point above West Ham and are sitting in 17th place. Having won their last two league games and qualifying for the league cup final Villa are in good form. Spurs, on the other hand, have lost their last two games in the premier league and have consistently struggled throughout the year. I think Villa will continue to struggle this year for the rest of the league but still manage survival. They are likely to pull a result out of the bag in crucial moments.
Tottenham is in the battle for a top 4 position at the minute. Other teams in the hunt for one of those top 4 spots are City and Leicester who are in a prime position with an 8-point gap on 4th place Chelsea. Chelsea has a 4-point advantage over Spurs but must play Man United at the weekend. Tottenham have a much better side, and such still comes away with the win.
Chelsea vs Man United
When: Monday 17th February, 3 p.m.
Where: Stamford Bridge
Our Pick: Draw Game (+270)
A crucial game for both teams hunting to finish in a Champions League. Chelsea is in 4th and needs to win if they want to stay that way. Frank Lampard’s side has only one win in their last 5 league matches. They are hitting a slump and will be hoping the winter break can take them back to the previous form. Chelsea struggled against a 10-man Arsenal and conceded with Arsenal’s first shot on target.
Man United, on the other hand, has put their hands in their pockets during the transfer window buying Bruno Fernandes. We expected Ighalo to make an appearance this weekend as well but the fact he was being monitored for the Corona Virus it is doubtful. He is still traveling with the side and time will tell whether he makes an appearance. United only have one win in their last five matches also. United won the last three times the sides met. This game can go either way. We are backing a draw for this one.
