We got a mix of games the weekend with some being much better quality than others. The teething problems might phase out or be utilized by some of the stronger teams in the season. Get your XFL week 3 predictions below.

Tampa Bay Vipers @ Houston Roughnecks

When: February 22nd, 2 p.m.

The Vipers fell to the Seattle Dragons in round 2. They are yet to get a win in the XFL and are only joined by the LA Wildcats. The Vipers are ranked at the bottom of most power rankings at the minute and do not look likely to jump up the rankings. The Vipers were questionable after Antonio Callaway’s preseason injury, but it is evident that they are struggling all over the field. They are looking like a bottom finish so far in the league unless they can start getting some points on the board.

The Roughnecks started strong by winning both opening games. They won against the Wildcats and the BattleHawks. P.J Walker is running against Cardale Jones currently for VIP. Pairing with Cam Phillips as a WR the two make a dangerous-looking offense. Houston needs to work on their defensive side of the game. They allowed 390 yards against the BattleHawks and threw away a big lead.

Houston looks like they will be serious contenders if they can keep up this form till the end of the season. Junes Jones runs some creative plays and is enjoyable to watch his team play. Expect the Roughnecks to grab a big win here against Tampa Bay. Get Houston Roughnecks against the spread of -6.5 at (-137) here at VIP.

Seattle Dragons @ Dallas Renegades

When: 22nd February, 5 p.m.

XFL week 3 opens up with a game that is important to both sides. The Renegades had a tight start against the Wildcats last weekend. There were plenty of turnovers with Landry Jones throwing two easy interceptions. The Renegades were poor with their pass rush and need to start getting more pressure on quarterbacks. Landry Jones only really kicked in halfway through the 3rd quarter after the poor first half. This was the first win for Dallas, and they will be hunting for another one.

The Seattle Dragons kicked off with their first victory last week against the Vipers. The Dragons started strong in the first round against the Defenders but just fell short in the second half. Several mistakes including a bad punt made the game difficult for themselves. Brandon Silvers has shown he has quality when on the ball. Seattle required some luck to get the better of Tampa Bay last week but still came away with the win.

Landry Jones didn’t look anything special for the Renegades for most of their first game. Seattle should take it to Dallas and are good value as the underdogs. Get Seattle at (-119) against the spread (+4.5) at VIP.

Los Angeles Wildcats @ DC Defenders

When: 23rd February, 6 p.m.

Cardale Jones displayed why he should be in the running for MVP with another exciting performance against the Guardians. The Defenders have won both their opening games and look to be strong candidates to go all the way. The Guardians couldn’t even get any points on the board against the Defenders. The Guardian’s pass rush was impressive, but Jones and the Defenders offense were sharp.  Anthony Johnson coming from the Wildcats via trade is a boost to their defense and will help them keep the wins rolling.

The Wildcats fell short against the Renegades and seemed like they just couldn’t hold the ball. They struggled to get after Landry Jones who was looking very slow at quarterback.  Wide receiver Nelson Spruce looks like a strong addition to the Wildcats as a slot receiver standing at 6 foot 1. After firing defensive coordinator Pepper Johnson it is unlikely that the Wildcats can prevent the powerful Defenders attack.

Cardale Jones will take his team to a third straight win.  Even though the Defenders are -8 against the spread but should take Wildcats to school. Get the DC Defenders for an XFL week 3 win at (-137) against the spread here at VIP.
